Facial Steams
A facial steam is the first step in a skin care regimen. It opens the pores in preparation for cleansing. The essential oil trapped in the steam and the various herbs will soften the skins surface. Any clogging from dirt or makeup will be loosened for easy removal afterwards. Herbal facial steams are best used by those with normal, dry or oily skin. It is not recommended for those with sensitive skins. Cleanse your skin before any steaming undertaking.

Things to keep in mind:
Use a bath towel to create a tent over your head, shoulders and steaming herb bowl. With your eyes closed, breathe deeply and relax as you cleanse your pores with the aromatic steam. Allow 8 to 10 inches between the steaming bowl and your face to prevent burning your skin. Once the steam starts depleting rinse your face with lukewarm water first then follow with cool splashes. Dab your skin dry. Its advisable to followup your steam treatment with a mask and moisturizer to give your skin the full treatment. Steams are best done once or twice per week.
