Macadamia Nut Oil

Macadamia nut oil is expressed from the nut usually through cold pressing and is typically a clear color with an amber tint, and has a slightly nutty smell. This tree (m. tetrpphylla) grows in parts of Australia and grows to be 6 to 40 meters tall! There are actually nine different species of this tree and nut, however, only two of them are edible, as the rest are poisonous. The M. Tetrophylla is a valuable food source and the nuts are used for many different kinds of foods!

It's important to get the oil that is completely unrefined and that is simply cold pressed because the refining process takes out most of the beneficial properties of the oil. The property of the oil is extremely close to sebum, which is the oil that our skin naturally produces in order to protect it and repair it. The oil is one of the best regenerative oils that exist and is high in monounsaturated fatty acids. This makes it absolutely wonderful for the skin, and is a great protective oil to use for all types of skin. It absorbs wonderfully into the skin quickly and therefore is great for moisturizing the skin as well as helping heal sunburn, irritation and inflammation from eczema, rashes and other skin issues.

The oil is absolutely wonderful for skin care products because it is highly resistant to oxidation and has a longer shelf life than many other oils. Because it is so wonderfully moisturizing and it is so close to the oil that we naturally make, it is one of the best anti-aging oils that you can use. By putting the oil on at night and sleeping with it, you can truly benefit from the anti-aging properties. Because night is when our body naturally regenerates, the benefits from the oil will be enhanced and will do more good.

When used for moisturizing, this oil leaves the skin with a silky-smooth feeling and softens the skin as well. The oil is wonderful in aromatherapy massage as other essential oils can easily be mixed to the nut oil in order to create a relaxing or energizing scent and you will still get the amazing positive results of the nut oil. This is wonderful for massage as well as for a hair and nail treatment. You can use macadamia nut oil on the hair as a hot oil treatment and it will help heal and restore the health of the hair. This is a great oil which is beneficial on many different levels!
